President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and several civil society organizations discussed the issue of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (17/12).

A number of civil society organizations that were present were International NGO Forum Indonesia on Development (Infid), Wahana Lingkungan Hidup (Walhi), Indonesian Women's Coalition, Perkumpulan Prakarsa and Alliance Jurnalis Indonesia (AJI).

Executive Director of Infid Sugeng Bahagijo said he conveyed urgent matters to be done to make the SDGS successful. "There should be a legal basis, an implementing committee should be established, an immediate draft of the SDGS priority action for 15 years," he said.

DPP Chairman Legion Veterans of the Republic of Indonesia (LVRI) Lieutenant General (ret) Rais Abin asked President Joko Widodo to carry out a review of the 1945 Constitution. According to him, the 1945 amendment did no good, as presidential term limits and the establishment of the Court , but there are opposite, like rip the stage MPR become politicians.
