After discussion and research on the importance of environmentally friendly products along with some of the building materials industry in particular industry some time ago, some initiator of various backgrounds finally launched Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI) on Wednesday (26/08)

With the GPCI and certification of "green product" can further improve the quality and value selling local products Indonesia. Certification for the environmentally friendly carpet industry does not yet exist. GPCI expected is able to maintain stable market local products.

Carpet raw material companies from Italy expressed interest in investing in Indonesia worth US $ 20 million. There are three locations that were targeted, namely West Java, Banten or Surabaya (East Java). Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Franky Sibarani said that the representative office of BKPM in London which identifies investment interest submitted by the company's CEO carpet raw materials based in the Milan. The position of Indonesia as an investment destination has a strategic location because it is close to their efforts targeting the market of Australia and New Zealand. Today the company is interested to expand its business in ASEAN and decided to throw in Indonesia because it is considered having a workforce that has the skills they need.
