Manufacture of micro and small-scale knitting increasingly worrisome, as the weakening of the rupiah against the U.S. dollar in recent months. Concerns knitting businessmen based in West Java threads soaring prices of raw materials (yarn) that most are imports. On the other hand, industrial trouble raising product prices due to price competition with other products. Crafters Knitting at knitting center Binongjati bear a loss of about Rp.15 thousand per dozen, since the rupiah weakened.

PT Inocycle Technology Group Tbk (INOV), an issuer engaged in recycling plastic bottle waste (PET) into Recycled Polyester Staple Fiber (Re-PSF), recorded an increase in sales to related parties of 62.5% year on year as of September 2021. Meanwhile, the demand for RePSF products from the parent company, namely PT Hilon Indonesia, was recorded at Rp 26 billion or 27.1% of total sales as of September 2021.

Director of Inocycle Technology Group Victor Choi said, the increasing demand for fiber from Hilon is in line with its involvement in infrastructure projects from Qatar for geotextile products. Geotextile is one of the derivatives of non-woven products in the form of sheets that function to protect, filter, strengthen and also prevent the mixing of layers of material with one another in the infrastructure construction process.
