Former Indonesian president, Megawati Soekarnoputri, inspected hybridazation spot for exported flowers owned by PT Selektani Horticulture in Ngablak District of Magelang Regency. PT Selektani Horticulture is one of the companies supporting the agriculture-based economy that is being developed by the Regencial Government of Magelang. PT Selektani Horticulture was established by Ir. Hendro Basuki in Brastagi, North Sumatra, in 1971. He then expanded the business to Java. The company also develops hybrid vegetables in Grabag and Kledung, Temanggung. 2005 is currently the commercial production year, which means that the products has passes 10 years of survey and production testings. The company has 8.3 hectare of land, only 4 hectares are currently being used.
