Securindo Manages 280 Parking Areas

PT Securindo Packatama Indonesia, the company that manages Secure Parking, projects an income increase of 20 percent in 2006 by focusing on managing parking areas in Jabodetabek, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Palembang, and Bali. Secure Parking already manages 280 parking areas in several regions. For a small parking area investment, only Rp.100 million is needed, whereas for a big area that uses computerised systems, etc needs an investment of Rp.2 billion.

Secure Parking Suggests Tariff Increase

The management of PT Secure Parking will suggest parking tariff increase to the provincial government of Jakarta to cover operational costs (employee salary and increasing tariff of electricity). The company has yet to decide the definite figure for the raise. It is estimated that the ideal parking tariff for cars is Rp. 4,000 and Rp. 1,000 fro motorcycles. In December 2003, Secure Parking already raised parking tariff from Rp. 1,000 to Rp. 2,000 for cars and from Rp. 500 to Rp. 1,000 for motorcycles.
