Sari Husada Prepares Capex Rp.50 Billion Bisnis Indonesia, page B2, 2006-09-02
In the second semester of this year, PT Sari Husada Tbk has prepared a capital expenditure (capex) worth Rp.50 billion. Meanwhile, the management is preparing a standard increase in the company from standard food factory to a pharmacy. The capex will be used for acceleration of production performance, sales, and post earthquake marketing.
In the first semester of this year, the company increased its net profit as much as 5 percent to Rp.158.8 billion. Last year, its net profit was Rp.151.2 billion. This net profit increase was supported by the rise in sales from Rp.759 billion in the first semester of 2005 to Rp.847 billion in the first semester of this year.
Two days ago, SHDA’s shares were traded at Rp.4,000, up 5 percent from transactions 2 days prior, which was Rp.3,800.

PT Sari Husada Tbk estimates its first semester performance in 2006 will drop because of the Rp.70 billion loss has it suffered due to the earthquake in Yogyakarta. Its performance from January to May 2006 was still good. At the present, the production facilities that have been stopped due to the earthquake are undergoing tests in order to operate again.
