Fast Food Projects 23 Percent Sales Increase Bisnis Indonesia, page B2, 2006-06-23
PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk projects sales of Rp.1.265 trillion (an increase of 23 percent compared to the previous year) and a 30 percent net profit growth in 2006. The company, which holds franchise to Kentucky Fried Chicken, booked Rp.1.028 trillion in sales and Rp.42.3 billion in net profit in 2005. The projections are calculated based on increasing number of outlets and the company’s improved performance. This year, the company allocated a sum of Rp.80 billion for capital expenditure to finance the establishment of 15 new outlets. By the end of the year, there will be approximately 252 KFC outlets spread in 58 cities.

PT Fastfood Indonesia targets to open another 20 KFC fast food restaurants in 2006 and also increase its turnover by 15 percent. Since it first started operating on 18 October 1979, Fastfood Indonesia has opened 233 restaurants. An average restaurant receives a turnover of Rp.80 million to Rp.200 million and is visited by 500 to 1000 customers.
