PT Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk (Temas Line) will share cash dividends worth Rp.39,375 per note and also stock dividends as much as 148.83 million notes. In the yearly General Meeting of Shareholders, shareholders have agreed on the sharing of dividends worth a total of Rp.39.07 billion. They have agreed to this because for every 100 old notes owned, they will receive 15 notes of stock share dividends.
The sharing of dividends is equal to 30.89 percent of the company’s net profit in 2005 of Rp.126.46 billion. This net profit amount has sky rocketed 134.38 percent compared to the previous year’s Rp53.93 billion. All throughout 2005, Temas Line booked a net income of Rp..625.78 billion, up 71.14 percent compared to the previous year’s Rp.365.65 billion.
The company’s added foreign target market that rose from 5 percent last year to 10 percent this year needs to expand.
4 Companies Increase Container Transport Tariff Bisnis Indonesia, page T2, 2006-05-17
Four large sailing companies have agreed to increase the tariff of domestic container transports following the rise in operational costs and tariff wars among operators. The four companies include PT Djakarta Lloyd (DL), PT Tempuran Emas (Temas), PT Meratus Lines and PT Tanto Intim Lines (TIL). Last week, they increased the tariff of Tanjung Priok-Belawan route to Rp.5 million per container starting from May 15 2006. However, in reality the tariffs still have not increased as a result of the the tariff wars.
