The new Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, located 12 kilometres from the centre of Palembang city, functions as an airport that caters domestic and international flights using Airbus 330-300 aircraft. For its construction process, Pacific Consultants International and PT Dacrea Avia co-operated in detailed design, assistance tendering and supervision.

The Palembang Airport Development Project, which is supported by Japan Bank for International Co-operation (JBIC), has been completed. The project also involved Hazama Corporation and PT Brantas Abipraya Joint Operation as contractors and was supervised by Pacific Consultants International and PT Dacrea Avia.
