The Jatropa curcas (castor) planting trial done by PT Berau Coal in some of the company’s reclamation area is showing positive results. In the Binungan reclamation area, 11 hectare of the six-month-old plants are beginning to bear fruits. With the help of a machine from Japan, the company has succeeded to process the plant and create biodiesel oil.
