Bank Buana Indonesia (BBIA) has released its 10 percent ownership in PT Asuransi Buana Independent to PT Sejahtera Maju Bersama for Rp.367,044 per share.

PT Bank Buana Indonesia Tbk will divide its remaining dividends or cash profit as much as Rp.4.88 per note with a total dividend of Rp.24.4 billion. Before, Bank Buana has divided interim dividends on November 2003 worth Rp.42.1 billion. The total cash dividend of this bank amounts to Rp.66.5 billion or 30 percent from the company’s net profit, which is worth Rp.221.85 billion. The net profit in 2003 has exceeded the year’s profit target by Rp.1.91 billion, amounting up to Rp.219.94 billion. Despite that, the bank experienced a decrease by 11.7 percent in the total net profit compared to 2002. In 2002, the bank reaped a net profit of Rp.251.25 billion.
In 2003, Bank Buana recorded an interest income amounting to Rp.1.6 trillion or down 9.73 percent from Rp.1.7 trillion in 2002. Meanwhile, the bank’s net income reached Rp.685.95, up 63.8 billion, or 10.26 percent from Rp.622.15 in 2002. The bank’s liability in 2003 also decreased by Rp231.9 billion or 28.98 percent. Its liability in 2003 added up to Rp.873.3 billion from Rp.1.1 trillion the year before.
The total amount of the bank’s assets in 2003 was Rp.14.3 with an obligation amount of Rp12.65 and equity of Rp.1.68 trillion. The total amount of the bank’s productive asset is Rp.13.16 trillion, which has increased 8.48 percent compared to last year’s Rp.12.14 trillion.
Until the end of 2003, the fund of Bank Buana’s third party amounted to Rp.12.3 trillion, up 7.46 percent from last year’s Rp.11.45 trillion.
