Demands for Construction Materials Rose 8 Percent
www.bakrie-brothers.com, 2002-10-23
Demands for construction materials in 2001 have risen as the economy improved. In 2002, it was predicted that the growth would reach 8 percent. The increasing demands for the materials caused Bakrie Building Industries' production capacity to rise to 12.5 million standard metres. For that reason, Bakrie Building Industries (BBI) has shifted the order to the export market in order to fulfil rising national demands. In 2003, BBI would increase the company’s production capacity to reach between 16 to 17 million standard metres.
