Interconnections from Java to Sumatra Should be State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) hoped that the Java-Sumatra interconnection project could be funded by the government using the state’s US$200 million export credit. The project’s objective is to transfer the oversupply of electricity in Java and Bali to Sumatra, as annually Java and Bali have an excess of 600 MW.
The Association of Porcelain Electricity Isolator Manufacturers in Indonesia (APPILI) has donated 7,000 isolator pin posts for electricity rehabilitation in Aceh, 2,000 of which was donated by PT Twink Indonesia. In total, the donation was worth approximately Rp.850 million.
