Surya Toto Sales Targeted to Increase 7 Percent

PT Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk has targeted this year’s sales to reach Rp.767 billion, up 7 percent compared to last year’s income of Rp.713.8 billion. The company is optimistic this will be fulfilled because of the high demand in ceramics internationally and domestically. Last year, it’s sales increased 25 percent to Rp.713.87 billion compared to 2004’s Rp.570.86 billion. The sales were derived from the domestic market (Rp.359.939 billion) and international market (Rp.353.933 billion). The General Meeting of Shareholders decided to hand out dividends worth Rp.300 per note which is 23.6 percent of last year’s net profit. This year, Surya Toto has decided not to disburse capital expenditure because the company has already expanded its factory by 15 percent in July 2005.

Surya Toto’s Profit Rises 218.18 percent

PT Surya Toto Indonesia Tbk., a home equipment manufacturing company, has obtained a 218.18 percent of net profit for the semester I/2005. The company booked Rp.49.79 billion in net profit. The significant rise in net profit is the result of decreasing exchange value loss compared to the previous year. During the semester I/2005, the company is only burdened with Rp.3.92 billion of exchange value loss, while last year it was Rp.28.91 billion. Surya Toto has booked Rp.68.26 billion in business profit, which is a 22 percent increase compared to the previous year. Increasing business profit is due to increasing net sales. For this period, the company’s net sales reached Rp.345.21 billion.
