Rp23 Billion Verification Fund of Local Content

The government has appointed PT Sucofindo and PT Surveyor Indonesia as independent surveyors to verify the local level of content of the goods and services produced by a total of 800 companies. The government has also targeted the verification of 200 companies this year. For this verification, the government has allocated funds in the amount of Rp23 billion. From the DIPA 2006 which amounts to Rp640 trillion, the portion of capital expenditure and goods are as much as Rp120 trillion. At the present, Sucofindo is in the process of verifying 3 companies including UD Berlian and PT Gunung Garuda. In 2005, Sucofindo obtained an operational income of Rp681.1 billion and managed to reap a net profit of Rp24.8 billion. In the first semester of 2006, Sucofindo obtained an operational income amounting to Rp326.3 billion, up 21.3 percent compared to the same period of time in 2005, which amounted to Rp269.1 billion. In 2006, its profit target is Rp36 billion.

6 Companies Receive Sucofindo Award

PT Sucofindo awarded six companies with the Sucofindo award for implementing at least two quality management systems in Indonesia. The six companies are: PT Mustika Ratu, PT Samsung Electronics, PT Indo VDO Instruments, PT Megasurya Mas, PT Sanghiang Perkasa and PT Semen Padang. The award is given in the form of integrated certificates to the six companies to acknowledge their appreciation to high quality management.
