Asuransi Harta Premium Up 20 Percent Bisnis Indonesia, page B3, 2006-06-21
PT Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama Tbk booked a gross premium sales increase worth Rp.16 billion, up 20 percent compared to the same period of time last year of only Rp.13 billion. That amount is near to the company’s target of Rp.20 billion, yet still not as much as expected. Out of the sales of the gross premium, the automotive insurance policy gave the largest contribution, around 60 percent of the total premium. Last year, around 38 percent of Harta’s premium income were donated to the automotive sector. Meanwhile, other products such as fire insurance only donated 21 percent, cargo insurance 21.3 percent, and other insurance 22.8 percent. In 2005, the company’s gross premium grew 36 percent compared to 2004 from Rp.32.5 billion to Rp.44 billion.
Other than that, shareholders have also agreed to share only 28.7 percent of the net profit of 2005, worth Rp.780 million (Rp.3 per note) from the total profit of Rp.2.72 billion. The other Rp.2 billion will be held as 2006’s profit. In relation to the small net profit this year, it is believed to be caused by investments that have drastically dropped 50 percent from Rp.1.67 billion (2004) to Rp.850 million (2005).
