Sinarmas Sekuritas Capital Increases

PT Sinarmas Multiartha Tbk has deposited a capital for its subsidiary PT Sinarmas Sekuritas as much as Rp.75 billion. The company has also deposited a capital for its other subsidiaries in the amount of Rp.14.01 billion including PT Super Wahana Tehno (Rp.6 billion), PT JobStreet Indonesia (Rp.393 milion) and PT Cisco Mas Sekuritama (Rp.7.62 billion). The company also added to the capital of PT Bank Shinta Indonesia amounting to Rp.15 billion. All the funds were derived from the results of its initial public offering (IPO).

BI Permits Sinar Mas to Take Control Over Bank Shinta

Bank Indonesia has given its approval to PT Sinar Mas Multiartha to take control over 21 percent of PT Bank Shinta Indonesia’s shares. At the present, Sinar Mas is waiting for Bank Indonesia’s approval to buy the other 79 percent of Bank Shinta’s shares. On 12 April 2005, Sinar Mas Multhiartha bought 21,000 notes (21 percent) of Bank Shinta’s shares worth Rp.17.74 billion. Meanwhile, on 19 April 2005, the company and its subsidiary, PT Sinar Mas Multifinance, had a contract made on the purchasing of 100 percent of Bank Shinta’s shares worth Rp.66.72 billion. The shareholders of Sinar Mas Multiartha include JBC International Finace as much as 83.80 percent and other shareholders who hold under 5 percent of its shares as much as 16.20 percent.
