Sido Muncul Increases Sales

PT Sido Muncul aims to increase the sales of its Kuku Bima Ener-G (KBE) health beverage product to 40 million boxes per month from 30 million boxes per month. The increase is projected to follow the new package featuring different renowned athletes for different flavours. The main market segment for this product is consumers in Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and other large Indonesian cities. Sido Muncul is optimistic that the national sales figure will rise 30 percent in 2006.

PT Sido Muncul has increased the production of Tolak Angin to reach the company’s targeted sales increase of 500 percent in 2006, in relations to the company’s expansion plan to the Asian market. The Tolak Angin product is one of the 190 types of herbal medicine (jamu) products that are marketed both domestically and for export. The company plans to expand its market in Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. This year, Sido Muncul aims to increase its sales income by 50 percent to Rp 300 billion.
