PT Anta Express Tour & Travel Service Tbk predicts that it will be able to fulfil its Rp.10 billion net profit target this year. The company also its income to rise to Rp.1.5 trillion from the Rp.1.4 trillion last year. On 26 July 2006, the company plans to share Rp.1.71 billion dividends (Rp.3 per share) to its shareholders. In 2005, Anta Express booked a net income of Rp.1.41 trillion, comprising of Rp.1.15 trillion from airline ticket sales, Rp.173.83 billion from the tour business and Rp.83.95 billion from other sectors.

The travel agency business will be facing tough competition in the future due to increasing competitiveness in the service sector, especially with the presence of around the clock travel agencies. So far, the competition has affected selling prices and also a company’s performance. To survive in the midst of the competition, Anta Express Tour & Travel Service, for example, has begun to provide on-line booking system for its consumers. The Internet-based service was established to attract consumers through innovative services and also increase the Asian market segment. The company is currently aiming the Chinese, Indian and Russian markets. By the end of 2004, the company booked Rp.1.219 trillion in net income with a net profit of Rp.6.38 billion. Until the first semester of 2005, the company has booked a net income of Rp.268.47 billion with an unaudited gross profit of Rp.14.045 billion.
