PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri will reduce the number of its employees towards the end of the year. This, so far, has been done to around 100 of its employees from every division. A source from Indosiar stated the employees laid off are the ones over 40 years of age who are idle. The reason for this downsizing is because of the company's declining financial status. By the end of September 2005, Indosiar booked an operational loss of up to Rp.28 billion, caused by the decreasing number of advertisments.
